Academic Calendar

Students lose up 2-3 months of math and reading skills over the summer, and it takes an average of 6 weeks at the beginning of the next school year to regain it.

The year-round schedule is an ideal way to address summer learning loss. Year-round learning does not mean students will spend more days in the learning environment; instead, they attend the same 180 days as traditional students but have shorter, more frequent breaks throughout the year instead of a long summer break. Creative Wonders follows an academic calendar closer to the year-round schedule. Our students follow an eight-week learning cycle, with short breaks in between. These breaks include extended weekends of three or four days, providing time to recharge while maintaining a steady learning rhythm throughout the year.

Daily Schedule

At Creative Wonders, each day balances structure, flexibility, challenge, and fun—a perfect blend of learning and play that keeps our students motivated and excited about their educational journey.

Three Hours of Core Academics

Every student participates in three hours of core academic concepts and skills. Students engage deeply with their subjects using digital platforms and traditional textbooks. Students work at their own pace and receive customized support from their teachers. Teachers work closely with each student, helping them organize their tasks, delve deeper into topics, and master new skills.

90 Minutes of Socialization and Fun

Students enjoy generous blocks of time to play, create, and relax with their peers. They interact with board games, art supplies, puzzles, sports equipment, and cozy spots like couches and bean bag chairs for downtime. Outdoor activities are also part of this tech-free time. This time is rich with opportunities for students to engage in guided games, bond over shared interests, and be a part of a vibrant community.

One Hour of Enrichment

Our daily enrichment hour sparks wonder and joy. These sessions include various activities, from science experiments and creative arts to engaging writing projects. Whether learning the basics of a sport or conducting a fascinating science experiment, each activity enhances knowledge while being incredibly fun. Additionally, we invite volunteers, community leaders, and families to share their talents and interests through engaging, interactive activities.

30 Minutes of Independent  Reading

At Creative Wonders, we believe that a love for reading grows through choice and exploration. Each day, students spend 30 minutes immersed in books that spark their curiosity and imagination. Whether reading independently, sharing stories with peers, or discussing their favorite books, students develop a deep appreciation for reading that lasts a lifetime.
